Via the below webapp you can also rename the rest of the files' names (i.e, after the prefix or if you just want to rename files without any prefix) and remove prefixes as well (e.g., to remove the Ex. A, Ex. B, etc. from the front of the filenames).
To add prefixes across all your files in the below batch file renamer, follow these simple steps:

🔢 Choose your identifier style (number or letter -- numbers can have leading zeros like "001")

All File Processing Occurs Locally (on Your Computer) to Ensure Confidentiality
While you will "load" and "download" your files below, all file processing occurs locally on your computer. In other words, we never receive your files. Instead the site's script will create copies of your original files, rename them, and output a Zip via your browser.
This way you don't need to worry about uploading confidential documents to the internet.

Bulk renaming files is helpful for attorney and paralegals, particularly when preparing exhibits for motions and related deliverables. You can simply grab your brief and drop your to-be-filed exhibits into the webapp to have them renamed with an "Ex. [Number/Letter]" prefix (or whatever prefix you choose) automatically -- and rename them further from there if you please.
