Adding Exhibit Slipsheets (Cover Pages) to PDFs

Add Exhibit Slipsheets to Your Files All at Once

There are few tasks as tedious as adding slipsheets (cover pages) to exhibits.  A legal professional typically must open each exhibit and add in a custom numbered/lettered slipsheet to each exhibit and save the merged PDF -- then repeat that process over and over for each exhibit.

Exhibit Flow completes that task via a one-click batch workflow in seconds:

  📁 Select your files

⚙️ Choose settings (capitalization, bolded text, etc.)

  🔎 Preview your slipsheet template

✨ Click generate to add uniquely numbered/lettered slipsheets to all your exhibits

Add Exhibit Pagination Too

Exhibit Flow's slipsheet tool also allows you to add pagination to your exhibits (if you prefer).  Increasingly courts are requiring parties to paginate their exhibits and it is good practice to make the parsing of the record easier for reader anyway.

Exhibit Flow allows users to paginate exhibits on a continuous (akin to an appendix) or an exhibit-specific basis (pagination starts anew for each file).  Users can add pagination prefixes from the simple (e.g., A-1001) to the complex (e.g., Ex. A Smith Report -  1001).

Mass Add Slipsheets for All Your Exhibits Via a Single, Batched Process

1.  Select all your files.  Any file names starting with Exhibit, Ex., Addendum, Appendix, Annex, Schedule, Rider, Enclosure, or Supplement will work.

The app will "read" the file names and determine the document type and letter/number.  E.g., if your files begin with "Ex." the app will create slipsheets reading  "Exhibit [Number/Letter]" and if the files begin with Appendix, then the app will create cover pages reading "Appendix [Number/Letter]."

Exhibit Flow can also convert common image formats (JPG, TIFF, PNG, BMP) to PDF automatically before adding slipsheets.

2.  Choose your exhibit slipsheet (exhibit cover page) settings  and preview your first slipsheet.

  • Capitalization (EXHIBIT A vs. Exhibit A)

  • Quotation Marks (EXHIBIT A vs. EXHIBIT "A")

  • Optional Text Additions (e.g., FILED UNDER SEAL or text of your choice)

  • Font Styling (Font, Size, Bold, Italics)

  • Positioning of Text

  • Optional Pagination for Exhibits:

    • Includes automated prefixes ranging from simple  (letter/number of exhibit like "A_001" for Exhibit A) to detailed (full exhibit and file name plus pagination like "Exhibit A Purchase Agreement    Page: 1") allowing for streamlined evidentiary citations.

    • Pagination can be set to begin anew each exhibit or be done continuously (e.g., MSJ_001)

3.  Click generate and our app will append  uniquely lettered/numbered slipsheets (exhibit cover pages) to each of your files all at once and paginate them, if you choose.

Users can also choose between continuous pagination (like in an appendix) or have it start anew for each exhibit.

The app will place the finalized PDFs in your selected output folder.
