Or see how the exhibit sticker tool works in our online demo.

With Exhibit Flow's automated exhibit sticker tool, the PDF exhibit sticker process is quick and easy:

☑️  Select your PDFs (our app can auto-increment numbers/letters or even read filename patterns to determine which number/letter goes on each sticker)

🎨  Customize the exhibit sticker settings (e.g., color, party-type descriptor, prefix, header, footer)

🔍  Preview the sticker placement and move the location (or change its size) on each file as needed

⚡  Click Generate and watch as exhibit stickers are applied to all your exhibits instantly.  All processing is done 100% locally (your files never touch the internet).

Exhibit Flow can also:

🔢  Add exhibit pagination (optional).

➖ Reduce the original PDF's content size to accommodate pagination (optional).

✏️  Add "fill-in-the-blank" exhibit stickers instead (e.g., if you want to add exhibit numbers/letters at deposition)

🗂️  Add filename prefixes automatically (e.g., if you want to add Ex. 1, Ex. 2, and so on to the start of each filename )

📷  Exhibit stamp images by automatically converting image formats (JPG, TIFF, PNG, BMP) to PDF before adding exhibit stickers

Law firms, court reporters, and trial technicians trust Exhibit Flow to automate their exhibit labeling workflow.

Exhibit stickers comes in five types:

  • Physical Stickers: Okay these ones aren't electronic but sticking physical labels by hand is slow and inefficient.

  •  Basic PDF Stickers: The tedious digital method. You must open each file, select a stamp, manually type the letter or number, save the file, and repeat this exhausting cycle for every single document.  That is no fun.

  • Auto-Incrementing Exhibit Stickers: Set a starting number or letter and the software automatically counts up across all your documents, adding unique stickers to each file.   Exhibit Flow can add auto-increment stickers.

  •  Smart Exhibit Stickers: The software reads your file names (e.g., "Ex. 12") and instantly applies the exact exhibit number/letter to each sticker.  Exhibit Flow can add smart exhibit stickers too.

  • Blank Exhibit Stickers:  For those who want to add in the exhibit number/letter at deposition or trial, the digital sticker's number/letter field is left blank.  Exhibit Flow gives you this option as well.

How to Add Exhibit Stickers to PDFs in Adobe: A Step-by-Step Guide

The traditional way of adding exhibit stickers is by using Adobe Acrobat to add exhibit stamps to your PDFs. A user first creates underlying PDFs of blank exhibit sticker styles and then fills the stamp in for each and every file. Here is how you can add exhibit stickers in Adobe Acrobat:

  1. Add a template exhibit sticker PDF(s)to your stamps folder in Adobe Acrobat

  2. Go to Comment, Annotations, Stamp Tool

  3. Select the Stamp Tool

  4. Choose the exhibit stamp file you have placed into your stamps folder

  5. Choose a stamp style (e.g., plaintiff's exhibit, trial exhibit, etc.) to place on your exhibit

  6. Enter your exhibit number

  7. Place the stamp on your PDF

  8. Close the PDF, open a new PDF, and repeat steps 2-7 for each exhibit where you want to add an exhibit sticker/exhibit stamp

But the traditional Adobe process  is time-consuming and one where it is easy for human error to enter the picture (e.g., mixing up the exhibit number/letter, skipping a file and so on).

Exhibit Flow Versus The Competition

Other exhibit sticker software offerings have major shortcomings that Exhibit Flow avoids.

  • Truly Automated:  You don’t need to open each file one-by-one and add and number each sticker individually.  Use our one-click exgeneration process instead.

  • No Branding:  We don’t add any branding to our stickers, so your exhibit labels look professional.

  • No Upcharges for Colors or Sticker Layouts:  Our exhibit stickers are easily customizable out of the box.  Add or remove fields at will, change colors, change sizing—all at no extra cost.

  • No Struggling with Non-PDF Files:  Exhibit Flow can change common image types into PDFs and even create stickered placeholder PDFs (“Produced in Native Format”) for audio/video files and other odd filetypes.

  • More than Just PDF Exhibit Stickers:  Exhibit Flow can add slipsheets for motion exhibits, create exhibit lists, prepare an appellate appendix, merge PDFs, mass-rename files, and more.

  • No Annual Subscription Needed: Go monthly or annual, it's up to you.

Speed Up Your Exhibit Labeling

Over the course of a single case, legal professionals may need to add exhibit stickers to hundreds of exhibits for depositions alone (and thousands of exhibits in larger cases). Manual processes (e.g., via Adobe or physical stickers) take considerable time (~90 seconds per exhibit). If one assumes 25 exhibits per deposition and 8 depositions, you are looking at 200 exhibits and ~5 hours of work in a single case if you rely on standard Acrobat workflows.

Exhibit Flow can apply exhibit stickers to 200 exhibits in under one minute.

The New Way: Automating Exhibit Labeling with Exhibit Flow

Exibit Flow provides a host of features that make adding digital exhibit stickers a snap:

  • Exhibit Flow Can "Read" Your File Names:  Exhibit Flow can parse common filename patterns (e.g., it knows that Ex. 1 Memo.pdf needs the Exhibit 1 sticker, that a file called PTX 45.pdf needs a sticker reflecting Exhibit 45, and so on).  Users can even give the app an exemplary filename and it can use that to determine the exhibit number/letter of all your files.

  • Easy Customization:  Keep it simple like “Exhibit 1” or beef it up to add more fields to include case details, witness names, dates, court docket numbers, confidentiality markers, etc. right on the sticker. Plus, if you delete or add certain fields, the font size adjusts so your exhibit labels looks perfect each time.

  • Apply your exhibit stickers at scale and merge if needed:  Batch-process dozens or even hundreds of exhibits without slowing down.  You can choose whether the output will be individual exhibits or one merged PDF.

  • Check Sticker Positions and Size Before Processing: Exhibit Flow lets you place your electronic exhibit stickers in a pre-set position (e.g., top right corner) but then allows you to then preview your exhibits before processing and adjust locations as needed. You can make your stickers larger or smaller too.

  • Save your settings: Your exhibit sticker parameters (e.g., one with a given case name, party type, etc.) can be saved in the app so you can use those same settings again later.

Exhibit Flow does the heavy lifting while ensuring uniform formatting across all exhibits.
